 Everyone wants to rank on top of the Amazon pages. But it's not as easy as it looks, Amazon Algorithm works in a very unique way and selects the products it wants to rank on the basis of many things. We'll discuss some points that amazon takes in consideration before ranking someone. 







How to rank your product on Amazon's first page PL?

To get ranked on Amazon's Top pages, You need to consider a few things, As a new seller on amazon Never select any random product for selling, and Always do thorough research about the product you want to sell on Amazon. 

Criteria for selecting the product to sell on Amazon: 

1)  Search Volume: 

Always check the search volume of the product you want to sell on Amazon. We can also say that you always check the search volume of the specific keyword for which you want to sell that product. 
At Amazon, It's very important to differentiate between product research and Keyword research. 
Because, remember always, there is no search volume for a product,  It's always for a keyword. 

2) Reviews: 

Always check reviews in the market about the product you want to launch. Try to fetch results of the top 10-20 products on the very first page of the keyword you want to sell. 

Use Helium10 Tool or JungleScout It's your choice both are good.

Always think about getting a place in the top 10 on the first page of any product. When you think like this you work for it. 

So Now check the top 10 listing reviews and see if there are any 3-4 sellers below the 300-400 reviews? 

If yes, that means there is a good chance you can get a place in the top 10. Because there is still space for a new seller to settle in.

3) Ratings: 

Never select or go for categories in which there is a greater chance of refunds or returns and getting bad ratings. 

For example, Never go for Glass products like glass tables, Glass bowls, etc

Because normally in these categories you see a very low rating of sellers. Why? Because these are very fragile and sensitive products you can't take a lot of risk as a new seller.  Normally these products get bad ratings because during shipping or delivery, they can easily get scratched or easily breakable. 

4) Price

This is a very important point. Whenever you are going to select a product to sell on Amazon. Always think about the average price range in which you want to sell the product on Amazon. 

If you select a very High-priced product, Automatically your initial cost will be higher as your Sourcing cost will increase and shipping, etc. 

So in short, the Price of the product and investment are directly proportional to each other. 


5) Brand Dominance and Amazon as a seller: 


Try to never select a product that Amazon is already selling or there is a brand that is dominant in the top 10 listings. 


We can't compete with a dominant and famous brand as a new seller and in the same way, we can't compete with Amazon. 

So better to avoid those products where these 2 conditions are fulfilled.
